Cookies and advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display ads, which sets cookies to measure ad performance and, where permitted, personalize ads. You'll see a cookie consent banner on your first visit; no advertising cookies are set until you accept. Data you submit

When you manually type a score into a field (for example, after looking up a Metacritic or Letterboxd number yourself), that value may be saved to a shared database along with the film it belongs to, so future visitors don't have to look up the same number again. This submission does not include your name, email, IP address, or any other identifying information — only the film ID, the field, and the value you entered.

Local storage

Your cookie consent choice, your advanced-mode preference, and — if you choose to add one — your own Anthropic API key are stored only in your browser's local storage. None of this is sent to us or stored on any server we control. If you add your own API key to use the optional AI-assisted lookup feature, requests go directly from your browser to Anthropic; we never see or receive that key.

Third-party data sources

This tool retrieves publicly available film data from IMDb's public dataset, Wikidata, and OMDb. Each operates under its own privacy practices, which we don't control.

No account, no tracking beyond ads

There is no user account system on this site. We do not sell data to third parties. Outside of the AdSense cookies described above, we do not run additional analytics or tracking scripts.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR regarding any personal data processed via advertising cookies, including the right to withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies or adjusting your browser settings. Since we do not collect personally identifying information directly, most data subject requests should be directed to Google regarding AdSense-related data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
